13.09.2009 - Singin 'Terrace


Road to the terrace singing takes a bit longer than the road to Krasnokoutsky dendro . So we made a stop halfway to rest.

While all the rest, I took a moment to take pictures of surrounding landscape

And we were lucky with the weather, clear sunny day and not a single cloud :)

After a rest we continued our way to the terraces, and somewhere else after 40 minutes arrived at our destination:

Singin 'Terrace is a 6 terraces built a huge arc on a steep slope.

The peculiarity of this construction is that it strengthens virtually all the surrounding sounds, we were talking quietly among themselves at a distance of 60m without raising our voice.

As played enough pleased with the sound effect, and trying to find out "Can Yamaha Gear climb the stairs of the terrace?" (answer: yes it can :)), we went to the Krasnokutsk dendro to ate, and after that go home.

05.09.2009 - The nature of the road

The trip took place in the direction of Kharkiv-Sokolov-Zmiyiv-Korobov Khutor, but for various reasons, it is not quite succeed. So I better tell you about a wonderful view of Kharkiv roads on which we rode.

I often saw the agrarian field, on TV, leaving the city by bus or train, but I never noticed this beautiful view.

But most amazes me - a huge open space and no one around. It's just a unique feeling when you're standing in the middle of the path, in the steppe around you, and turning off the engine - completely immersed in the silence.

But even when you go, all that you can see it: a road, forest-steppe and the sky.

This serenity that is felt on the country roads of Ukraine, so severely lacking in the city.

All this racket feelings can only be riding on a motorcycle, and only during a leisurely Motocycle tours.

30.08.2009 - Krasnokutsk dendro

You need to travel 110 km from Kharkiv to get to Krasnokutsk dendro. The people (link: russian site), with which I travel, travels on scooters with an average speed of 50-60 km/h. Given our speed and distance we have planned a stopover for rest near city Staruy Merchik.
 

 
Bad people abandoned kittens in the middle of the road. :( We wanted to take these kittens with us, but could not do that. Kittens will not be comfortable in the bag on a motorcycle. :(
 
Having covered the rest of the way we arrived at dendro.

 
Going into the arboretum, we saw a remarkable kind of nature.
 

 
In the struggle for tourists park authorities placed several wooden sculptures.

After bypassing the park, we went to nearest river to dine. After this I went home.
 
By the way the road to and from the park was great (except for some places), and I calmly drove 100-110 km/h on it.

22.08.2009 - Sharovka estate

It has long wanted to ride somewhere beyond the city Kharkiv (the place where I'm living). The only problem I had was this: “I don’t know nice places to do so”. Once I accidentally found a topic where people invite to ride near Kharkiv. On that I agreed. The place were planned to ride was Sharovka estate.

Weather that day was not very good for riding, sometimes drizzling rain and it was very cool for summer, but this doesn't stop us from this journey. :)

The first place that we are visited was estate of knyaz Svyatopolk-Mirskiy in Lyubotin city, this estate was build in the middle of 1800-1900 years. It’s very unpleasant to see this historical building in such bad shape. :(

Next we went to St. Nicholas Church, in the village Gievka. The temple is in very good condition, unlike the road to it, a couple of times I almost welled (cobbles + sand = EVIL)

The next scheduled item was Sharovska mansion, where we spent the most time (and most of photo shots):

At this point, when we ended our tour around Sharovka, I'm was so tired that I was too lazy to get camera out the bag. :(

P.S. This was my first big motorcycle ride this year, with this motorcycle and in this life (actually I first sat on the bike in April this year) :)
